2016 Financial Literacy Week

The 2016 Financial literacy week was officially opened on 11th March, 2016 at the Youth Development Center (OYDC) by Bank of Zambia (BoZ) Governor Dr Denny Kalyalya. FINCA and various other Financial Institutions graced the event. In his opening speech, Dr Denny Kalyalya reiterated on the need for Financial Inclusion, something FINCA Zambia is passionate about and pushing for by leveraging on digital channels.

FINCA Zambia’s CEO Douglas Kumwendo and COO Bram Peters took part in the football match with the kids, a great way to engage with kids…remember, developing a saving culture starts with the children and the youth. However, this is not a wrap up to our efforts, our branch network across the country have lined up fantastic activities in schools and markets.

FINCA Zambia will also take part in the Manda Hill exhibition to be held on the 19th and 20th of March. This will mark as the end of the Financial Literacy week which will come to a close on 20th of March. We encourage the general public out there to make some time of those dates and pass through our stand at the exhibition. You are never too young or old to learn how save.
