Extending our hand beyond Banking

It is said that, “a clean nation is a healthy nation and conducive for business”.

With the outbreak of Cholera in some parts of the country, FINCA Chingola branch decided to take part in the cleaning exercise as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility under the theme: “My FINCA, My Community, My Responsibility”.

The team rendered their service to Kabundi clinic because it is situated in the center of densely populated areas namely; Kapisha, Soweto and Kabundi.

The clinic lacks adequate cleaning materials due to high numbers of people seeking medical attention. In addition, the clinic does not have enough personnel to clean the surroundings. More than 50 percent of people who seek medical attention at Kabundi clinic are women and this moved our Chingola branch team to donate cleaning materials to the maternity ward. Staff and management at Kabundi clinic were very grateful for the donation especially that it was done at a time when the country was experiencing the cholera outbreak.

Members of the community were thankful for the gesture and the Councilor for Kapisha Ward, Mr. Davies Mulenga who witnessed the donation and cleaning exercise encouraged the team to keep up with the good work.
